چکیده
The following discussion is based on [5, 1] and, with regard to [2], is relevant to the discussions in Chapter 5 and in Section 6.6 on multihop wireless systems. Consider a network with a set of N nodes and L links. Let α(l) be the transmitting node and ω(l) be the receiving node of link l. Each node n maintains a set of J packet queues, Xn, one for each flow. A flow j is determined by a destination set D of nodes. Let U j l (t) indicate whether class j traffic is serviced on link l at time-slot t. We require that

A multi-hop PSO based localization algorithm for wireless sensor networks
A sensor network consists of a large number of sensor nodes that are distributed in a large geographic environment to collect data. Localization is one of the key issues in wireless sensor network researches because it is important to determine the location of an event. On the other side, finding the location of a wireless sensor node by the Global Positioning System (GPS) is not appropriate du...
متن کاملA Hidden Node Aware Network Allocation Vector Management System for Multi-hop Wireless Ad hoc Networks
Many performance evaluations for IEEE 802.11distributed coordination function (DCF) have been previouslyreported in the literature. Some of them have clearly indicatedthat 802.11 MAC protocol has poor performance in multi-hopwireless ad hoc networks due to exposed and hidden nodeproblems. Although RTS/CTS transmission scheme mitigatesthese phenomena, it has not been successful in thoroughlyomit...
متن کاملDistributed Queue-Length based Algorithms for Optimal End-to-End Throughput Allocation and Stability in Multi-hop Random Access Networks
We consider a model of wireless network with random (slotted-Aloha-type) access and with multi-hop flow routes. The goal is to devise distributed strategies for optimal utility-based end-to-end throughput allocation and queueing stability. We consider a class of queue back-pressure randomaccess algorithms (QBRA), where actual queue lengths of the flows (in each node’s close neighborhood) are us...
متن کاملThe Feedback Based Mechanism for Video Streaming Over Multipath Ad Hoc Networks
Ad hoc networks are multi-hop wireless networks without a pre-installed infrastructure. Such networks are widely used in military applications and in emergency situations as they permit the establishment of a communication network at very short notice with a very low cost. Video is very sensitive for packet loss and wireless ad-hoc networks are error prone due to node mobility and weak links. H...
متن کاملOn the Design of Scheduling Algorithm for End-to-End Backlog Minimization in Wireless Multi-hop Networks
In this paper, we study the problem of link scheduling for multi-hop wireless networks with per-flow delay constraints. Specifically, we are interested in algorithms that maximize the asymptotic decay-rate of the probability with which the maximum end-to-end backlog among all flows exceeds a threshold, as the threshold becomes large. We provide both positive and negative results in this directi...
